Classes

Pistol Foundations

Pistol Foundations is a four-hour course designed to provide the student with a range of skills for owning and operating a pistol. Whether you have never fired a gun before, or have simply never had formal training, this class will give you the essential concepts that we can build upon in future courses. The course covers the below topics:

  • Firearms Safety
  • Firearms Operation
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship
  • Ready Positions
  • Drawing from a Holster
  • Equipment Setup

Pistol Performance

Pistol Performance is a six-hour course designed to build upon your existing skills and maximize the effectiveness of the handgun in dangerous situations. If you have been shooting before and are familiar with your firearm, this class will equip you with the skills and knowledge to master your concealed carry or duty handgun. The course covers the below topics:

  • Firearms Safety
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship at Extended Range
  • Speed Shooting
  • Drawing From Concealment
  • Proactive and Reactive Reloading
  • Movement with a Pistol
  • Use of Cover and Concealment
  • Decision Making Under Stress

Note: This course is mildly athletic. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions regarding performing certain movements such as kneeling or running.


Pistol Entanglements

Pistol Entanglements is an eight-hour course to introduce the concept of shooting to a combative environment. We may be physically assaulted by an adversary, and this course will equip you with the skills and confidence to draw and use a pistol within arms’ reach. The course covers the following topics:

  • Firearm and Training Equipment Safety
  • Fundamentals of Marksmanship in Compressed Environments
  • Introducing the Thumb-Pectoral Index Position
  • Fundamentals of wrestling
